Hello Team,
I'm sorry I have to take this measure of contacting, it's because the team on the Aliexpress App is either misleading me or just not competent.
I purchased an item (a car stereo) for my car. It claimed it has Android Auto software and Apple Carplay software.
When the item arrived, I discovered it was false, as my phone and other phones could not connect to it. I complained to the seller and they said it was a software issue, that they would send an updated version of the software to my email.
I got the email of the software, but unfortunately, when I tried it, it also did not work. I notified the seller about this and they requested that I should give them some time to travel for the Chinese new year festival coming in February, and that after the festival they would look into the matter, this was in January. At this point I realized the seller was just being deceptive and was only playing for time so that the window for filing a dispute would elapse.
I contacted the Aliexpress team on the chat and they told me I did not have to worry, that I should file a dispute and return the item and I would get a full refund of the item cost , as well as the shipping cost for the return.
I followed their instruction and returned the item through DHL. I also went to the dispute page and updated it with the return information necessary.
I also contacted the Aliexpress team and they said that once the seller receives the item, I would get the full refund. I contacted them yesterday to notify tham that the seller had received the item since the 19th of February but I had yet to receive my refund. They asked that I should notify seller about the return (which was surprising because the whole information is online for the seller to see).
I went ahead and notified the seller and also requested for the refund of the DHL fees.
The seller replied that I should not return the item yet, that they would send another software after the new year festival (because they thought I was bluffing probably). Their plan was to keep delaying so that the dispute time would elapse. I then send them the tracking number from DHL. At this point it dawned on them I wasn't joking, so they became angry and said they will only return the item cost and not the DHL fee.
I reported it to Aliexpress on chat and they assured me that the full refund will be made, that I should ignore the seller.
I also told them that I saw a message on the dispute page request that I agree to a partial refund of $145 or reject it and wait for full refund. I clicked on "reject and wait for full refund". They said I did alright, that it's obviously the seller trying to play games (It was weird because I was wondering how the seller would have access to the dispute page). I also messaged the seller to stop playing games but I noticed I could no longer message him/her.
However, to my shock, I checked my Aliexpress profile this morning and saw a message that I will be receiving a refund of $145.
I immediately contacted the team on chat and they said that I was the one that chose that option. That is a lie! Why would I purchase an item for $291 and also spend $61 in shipping it back and then accept $145 refund?
I have come to the conclusion that the team on the Aliexpress app are conniving with this seller to mislead and bully me and I will not accept this.
Please I beg of you to intervene and ask your team not to send any money to my account if it's not the FULL REFUND. I will not accept $145.
I spent a totla of $352 and you want to return $145.
